Tucson Gem Show Starting the end of this month, Tucson becomes a huge gem show. About 25 hotels participate plus convention centers and pitched tents. People come from all around the world to sell and buy. It is the best time, to see all that is available and sometimes, I can get some good deals and find some incredible gems.
So, if you have been waiting, now is the best chance for me, to find you just that right gemstone. There is an excellent Herkeimer Diamond vendor and natural Yellow Sapphire vendors etc.
Some of you showed interest in the pair of Yellow Topaz, in last months newsletter. Unfortunately I only had one set but if you are still interested, let me know and I will see what I can find for you.

High Quality Moonstone 
To get first choice on the best gemstones, one thing I like to do, as I did with this high quality Moonstone, is call the vendor prior to the Tucson show and ask him if he got his new inventory in? I asked him to pick out the best quality Moonstones and ship them to me. He sent 5 but only 3 meet all the requirements for a Personal Gemstone.
This one is 3.97 carats and is 12x8.5mm in size. Moonstone relates to the planet Moon and is protective, enhances intuition and helps one stay balanced through the ups and downs of life.

Sleeping Beauty Turquoise 18K Earrings 
Sleeping Beauty Turquoise is the best quality Turquoise. The better the quality, the more potent and healing energy they have.
Turquoise is one of the four healing gemstones. It will give every fiber of it's being to heal the person on all levels. It also enhances healing energy and draws up impurities. It also brings good luck.
These are 3 plus carats and are $275.00
Oxblood Red Coral oval beads 
These beads are the best quality Oxblood Red Coral and are very beautiful. They are waiting to be made into a lovely necklace, perhaps with some gold Bali bead cups as accents.
Coral is also, one of the four healing gemstones and will give every fiber of it's being to heal the person on all levels. They are rejuvenating, energizing and help with female problems. They also help one stay balanced emotionally, similar to moonstone.
This strand is $250.00 as is. It needs to be knotted and a clasp needs to be added. It is 18 inches long, as is.
One of my clients recently asked me what was the difference between Crystals and Gems?
Actually all gemstones are crystals.
When working with the healing aspects of gems, I use those gems that will be the most powerful and potent. Those that have been cut into a faceted or Cabochon shape are better grade gem material, like the Moonstone highlighted this month.
When a gemstone is left in it's natural crystal state, that is because it is not very good gem material. So it doesn't have a lot of energy and won't impact one's life.
Not all faceted gemstones will empower one. They need to be untreated, internally clean without inclusions and a certain carat weight, that way we have a gemstone that will really make a difference in your life, if it is one of your Personal Gemstones. (c) January 2007 Rachel E. Hart
