In folklore there is a Roman legend that a king threw a magnificent Emerald into the sea, to gain the favours' of the Gods. The next day, the King was served fish and guess what he found in the belly of his lunch? The very same Emerald! It is said that, the Emperor was Augustus and he set this miraculous stone in a statue of a goddess.
I am not going to recommend that you cast your gems upon the waters but Emeralds are powerful gemstones. They relate to the planet Mercury along with Peridot and Jade.
Emeralds represent the divinity within us and enhance prosperity, love, kindness, tranquility, balance, healing and patience. They are strong emotional balancers. They help open our hearts and directly relate to the heart chakra.
