How is it determined
Rachel looks at your your planetary alignment on the day you were born. Each planet relates to a number of gemstones. She does this through intellectual knowledge combined with intuition. For centuries Yogis, Vedic Astrologers and Kabbalah Masters have known that gemstones are highly effective in deflecting the negative energies of planets, thereby bringing you beneficent energy.

Once Rachel determines your personal gem(s), decide what would be the easiest way for you to bring them into your life? It can be in the form of a ring, pendant, necklace, bracelet, earrings, or mala (yogic meditation beads). Once you have decided, then Rachel goes about creating your jewelry. We keep an inventory of a number of semi-precious gems that meet our standards, of being natural, untreated gemstones with a combination of great color, clarity and cut. If your gemstone is precious and we do not have it in stock, Rachel will go about finding it for you.

Personal Gemstone Qualities

Color
Each gem species has a wide range of color and often gems are dyed or treated. Rachel works with GIA gemologists that only carry natural untreated gems and looks for those that are the most beautiful in color.

Extraordinary clarity
It is important for your personal gemstone to be as flawless as possible. Rachel looks for gems that are free from eye-visible inclusions to 10-20 times magnification. We have higher standards for our gems and they are in the top 3%.

Weight
For your gemstone to be effective it must be a certain weight. Weighing at least 3 carats is the most desirable. If you do not want a gemstone of that size we can go to 2.1 or 1.2 carats; this is done for those who have to take expense into consideration. For best results it should be 3 carats. We recommend, you start with what you can afford. If your Personal Gem is semi-precious then we automatically use a 3 carat gemstone.

Cut
The skill of the lapidary artist in fashioning the rough gemstone into the finished shape, size and cut is critical. Most gems are chipped slightly. We want to only use gems that have nice clean crisp beautiful faceting.

That extra something!
You can not spot this with the visible eye. It is an essence or feeling of the gemstone which is a combination of the above mentioned. Rachel picks your gemstone personally with this in mind, using both her knowledge and intuition.

Rachel has a wide range of affiliates through out the gemstone community, that she works with, that have their GIA credentials and only buys from reputable vendors. You can feel confident that Rachel works with knowledgeable people and that she will find the most beautiful gemstone based on her high expectations to help find just that special gemstone for you. We can also supply, a GIA certificate of authentication for your records, for an additional fee.

Creating Jewelry
We create your Personal Gemstone jewelry or Mala during the waxing moon cycle, when the moon is expanding. You need to receive it during that time also. Rachel works closely with artisan jewelers who create your jewelry, to make sure it is done correctly. Rachel makes the malas and knots the necklaces etc. herself. When you bring things into your life when the moon is expanding, those things continue to expand, grow and empower you.

How to order a Personal Gemstone determination
There are two methods available to find out your Personal Gemstone:

• $54.00 Determination: Rachel will need your name and date of birth and place of birth. Please fill out the Personal Gemstone questioner and you will receive the information of your personal gemstone viva E-mail, fax or mail.
• $108.00 In-depth Consultation: Rachel will need the same information: name, birthdate and place of birth and the questioner filled out. A telephone appointment will be set up and you will call Rachel and she will go over the following information with you:

• What knowledge you come with from past lives
• What your path is
• What your challenge and assets are and what will balance them
